Drug intelligence / Profile preview
N-[3-[(1-Aminoethyl)(Hydroxy)Phosphoryl]-2-(1,1'-Biphenyl‑4-Ylmethyl)Propanoyl]Alanine is a synthetic small molecule inhibitor. It is structurally related to phosphinic pseudopeptides and has been been studied as an experimental inhibitor of leukotriene A4 hydrolase (LTA4H), an enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of leukotriene B4—a pro-inflammatory mediator. The compound has been used in structural biology studies to elucidate the binding and inhibition mechanism of LTA4H[8]. Its primary use is as a research tool rather than a therapeutic agent.
